If you ask us an animation is something truly magical. In the process of transforming the idea to a moving visual something beautiful happens. Where there was nothing but a good idea, now there is a story. From the beginning of our time, Humans have portrayed their thoughts in drawings and illustrations. Tens of thousands of years ago our caveman ancestors were already etching important events into their cave’s walls. Only just over a hundred years ago, we produced the first ‘moving’ picture: “Humorous Phases of Funny Faces” in 1906. Back then, stop-motion, was the only way to get a visual to appear to be moving. In this process a picture is taken, the position is changes and another picture is taken. Repeating the process numerous times and showing the pictures at an extremely fast rate per second will make everything appear to be moving. This is animation.
Thankfully, we no longer have to draw each animation separately. Nonetheless, an enormous amount of work goes into producing an animation. It starts with an idea, but as soon as we have that we start drawing. This when we bring your idea to life on the page. These illustrations are then animated in accordance with the voice over. After all this sound effects and music are added. When all these separate elements come together and the final animation is complete something interesting has happened. Together, these components are able to evoke an emotion in the viewers. Without all of it, we would have never gotten the viewers to feel what they feel. Magical.
